Whether you are fishing on the road system or off, Salty Fly Safaris will take you to the best fishing holes around Kodiak Island!
Do you dream of experiencing the majestic wonders of the "Emerald Island" of Kodiak Alaska? Do you love adventure riding in a UTV thru rough trails and into the Alaska wild? We guide you to Saltery River and take you on a fishing trip for sockeye or Coho Salmon. During most trips, we can also catch Dolly Varden Trout or an occasional Rainbow. From mid July on, we also catch Pinks and Chum. View spectacular scenery and often encounter abundant wildlife, such as bears, deer, and fox. Bald Eagles are common.
General dates for Sockeye (Red Salmon) fishing is Late June (early run) to Early August (late run), and Coho Salmon (Silver Salmon) Mid-August (early run) to Early October (late run).
